To ensure tangible research impact beyond academia, findings must be effectively disseminated to key stakeholders, especially local communities whose livelihoods depend on marine resources. This activity aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical application in the field.
This 7-day program will be conducted in Derawan, Indonesia, in 2027. It is designed to share project research findings directly with local communities and stakeholders. The activity will involve 16 participants, including 8 students (5 IPB, 3 UMT) and 8 staff members/lecturers from IPB and the EU partners. The focus is on practical knowledge transfer, thematic fieldwork, and supporting community-based conservation efforts. Expected outcomes include technology transfer to local fisheries, the development of community-led conservation initiatives, and policy recommendations for sustainable marine resource management, thereby ensuring the long-term impact of the project.
